Objectives of our association

The Schutzgemeinschaft Westfälische Schinken- und Wurstspezialitäten e. V. has set down the following objectives in its articles of association:
  • protection and maintenance of Westphalian indications of geographical origin for ham and sausages, in particular organising trade mark protection of such indications of origin relating to Westphalia;
  • ensuring and promoting the quality of Westphalian ham and sausage products;
  • promoting the sale of produce from Westphalia, in particular ham and sausage goods.
